Advent Begins!...in Colombia

It seems a little strange starting Advent when it is 80 degrees out!  However, within the home and within are hearts, we are working hard to get a good start to this Advent.  We have put up our Advent Calendar.  We lit our purple candle for the first time tonight.  I was grateful that Button didn't cry when we sang O Come O Come Emmanuel.  A year ago, every time we sang it he got teared up.  He was about 16 months.  I guess due to the solemn tone of it.  This year he was a little serious, but got through it fine.  Before night prayers, we reviewed some sacrifices, fasting and good deeds that we are going to do tomorrow.

Trying to Find Half & Half for My Coffee

Yeah, after searching all week, I finally found something that has the same taste as Half & Half.  The only problem is it came out quite thick.  However, I hear there is a more liquid version.  Will test that out next time we go to the grocery store.
